FISHY

(tune: Turkey in the Straw)

Did you ever, ever, ever
On a hot summer day,
Did you ever see a fishy
Out swimming in the bay,
With his hands in his pockets
And his pockets in his pants,
Did you ever see a fishy
Do the hoochee-koochee dance?
You never did? (spoken)
You never will.
Did you ever, ever, ever
On a cold winter day,
Did you ever see a fishy
Out frozen in the bay,
With his hands in his pockets
And his pockets in his pants,
Did you ever see a fishy
Do the hoochee-koochee dance?
You never did?
You never will.
Did you ever, ever, ever
On a hot summer day,
Did you ever go fishing
And the dock gave away;
A crocodile got you
By the seat of your pants
And all the little fishies
Did the hoochee-koochee dance?
You never did?
You never will

We learned this song at the 2001 Jamboree.
Thunder storms had raged through the camp the previous night so we were singing mostly Rainy-day songs at our station. When we asked the Scouts coming through what their fav. ones were, several patrols taught us this one.
