On a hot summer day, Did you ever see a fishy Out swimming in the bay, With his hands in his pockets And his pockets in his pants, Did you ever see a fishy Do the hoochee-koochee dance? You never did? (spoken) You never will. |
On a cold winter day, Did you ever see a fishy Out frozen in the bay, With his hands in his pockets And his pockets in his pants, Did you ever see a fishy Do the hoochee-koochee dance? You never did? You never will. |
On a hot summer day, Did you ever go fishing And the dock gave away; A crocodile got you By the seat of your pants And all the little fishies Did the hoochee-koochee dance? You never did? You never will |
We learned this song at the 2001 Jamboree.
Thunder storms had raged through the camp the previous night
so we were singing mostly Rainy-day songs at our
station. When we asked the Scouts coming through what their
fav. ones were, several patrols taught us this one.
